TASK Party
Come participate in an artistic improvisation art party. Enjoy music and get creative with recycled materials and fun art supplies in Sculpture Hall as you complete tasks generated by participants. Listen to DJ sets, do an impromptu performance, create a sculpture, or curate an experience. The possibilities are endless with a TASK party! This event is great for all ages and friends, families, and strangers alike.
A TASK Party, introduced by conceptual artist Oliver Herring, is a participatory art event where individuals engage in a continuous cycle of selecting, completing, and creating tasks. Each participant writes a task on a piece of paper and adds it to a shared TASK box. Then, they draw a task from the box and interpret it in any way they choose, using available materials or props. The process is open-ended, with no right or wrong answers, encouraging creativity and improvisation. During this event you will have the opportunity to meet the artist, make new friends, and play outside of your comfort zone!
