Trajan’s Student Senate
In this immersive experience, middle school students will discover the politics of Ancient Rome—as Trajan’s senators. Inspired by Ancient Splendor: Roman and Art in the Time of Trajan and faced with the issues of Trajan’s time, students will debate laws, issue decrees, and develop governing strategies. Along the way, they will discover influencing factors of Roman life: superstition, ritual, loyalty, and ambition.
