Winter Celebrations 2022
Inspired by holiday traditions from around the world, Winter Celebrations is a free, family-friendly festival that features different performances and family art activities each day. Drop in for performances by community groups and art activities with your little ones during this special two-day festival.
No tickets or reservations are required to attend Winter Celebrations.
Performances
- Dance Center of Kirkwood on Saturday at 11 am in Sculpture Hall.
- Afriky Lolo on Saturday at 2 pm in the Museum’s Farrell Auditorium. This performance is supported by the Dana Brown Endowed Fund for Education and Community Programs.
- St. Louis Osuwa Taiko on Sunday at 11 am in the Museum’s Farrell Auditorium.
- Hispanic Festival, Inc. on Sunday at 3 pm in Sculpture Hall.
Create Lab
Make one or both art projects inspired by the SLAM collection — a personalized hot chocolate relief sculpture or a winter outfit for a miniature figure from 10 am to 4 pm on both days of the festival in Grigg Gallery.
Photobooth
Snap a fun memory with the whole family in our seasonal photobooth from 10 am to 4 pm on both days of the festival in Sculpture Hall.
Scavenger Hunt
Use our scavenger hunt to explore art related to festive gatherings throughout the Museum. Pick up your scavenger hunt guide at the Sculpture Hall welcome desk from 10 am to 4 pm on both days of the festival.
