WinterSongs: A Confluence Chamber Orchestra Concert
As part of SLAM’s Festive Fridays celebration, Confluence Chamber Orchestra will welcome the season of serenity and excitement with music of Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Tallis, Waldteufel, Rimsky-Korsakov, and others in a performance illuminated by a slideshow of artwork from SLAM’s collection.
Free tickets will be available for this concert in person at the Museum starting at 10 am on the day of the performance. Tickets will be available at the welcome desk in Taylor Hall.
About the performers
Confluence Chamber Orchestra is a multigenerational amateur string orchestra, a confluence of ages, backgrounds, and abilities. Artistic Director William Bauer creates programs with interesting music that encourages players of all ages to enjoy learning and performing. Since 2005, CCO has worked with museums, libraries, and community institutions to present free educational concerts in the St. Louis area. Each program is designed to complement a current exhibit or program and to enrich the cultural experience for a specific audience.
