Day 1: Umoja

Celebrate Day 1 of Kwanzaa and the principle of Umoja or Unity with a welcome from the President of the St. Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jeanice Baker.

Day 2: Kujichagulia

On Day 2 of Kwanzaa focus on the principle of the day Kujichagulia or Self-Determination through artwork created by Delta Sigma Theta youth participants.

Day 3: Ujima

Enjoy Day 3 of Kwanzaa with a performance of "Black Butterfly" by soloist Felica Ezell-Gillespie inspired by the principle of Ujima or Collective Work and Responsibility.

Day 4: Ujamaa

Discover the principle of Ujaama or Cooperative Economics on Day 4 of Kwanzaa with a telling of an original story by local storyteller Carole Shelton.

Day 5: Nia

Define the principle Nia or Purpose on Day 5 of Kwanzaa with an original work by spoken word artist, Tracie Berry-McGhee.

Day 6: Kuumba

Pour libation on Day 6 of Kwanzaa focusing on the principle of Kuumba or Creativity.

Day 7: Imani

Celebrate the final day of Kwanzaa, Day 7, and the principle of Imani or Faith through the traditional symbols used to adorn a Kwanzaa table.
