ST. LOUIS, May 27, 2025—The Saint Louis Art Museum’s Art Hill Film Series is changing seasons in 2025.

This year, fans of classic films can enjoy Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” on Friday, Oct. 3 and “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” on Oct. 10. Preshow festivities begin at 5 pm with the film starting at 7 pm.

In the 1958 psychological thriller “Vertigo,” a former police officer struggles with his personal demons as he becomes obsessed with a beautiful woman he has been hired to trail. However, as in any Hitchcock film, all is not as it seems. The film is rated PG and runs 128 minutes.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, the 1982 classic “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” is about a gentle alien who becomes stranded on Earth. A young boy befriends the being, bringing him into his suburban home and helping him return to his home planet. The film is rated PG and is 115 minutes.

Both weekends will include music and food trucks. Coolers and picnic baskets are welcome, or guests can purchase drinks from the Panorama tent or food from the museum’s cafe. Free parking and seating at the Art Hill Film Series will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the event of bad weather, the museum will announce any delay or cancellation on Facebook, Instagram and slam.org.
