ST. LOUIS, Nov. 3, 2025—A host of popular holiday programs returns to the Saint Louis Art Museum this winter, featuring free performances, art-making opportunities and seasonal gallery activities for all ages.
The Festive Fridays event series runs every Friday from Nov. 28 to Dec. 19. Also this season, Winter Celebrations returns Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14, and SLAM’s Kwanzaa event is Friday, Dec. 26.

Returning for the second year, the Festive Fridays event series will feature several collaborations with local nonprofit performing groups, including the Bach Society of Saint Louis, Black Tulip Chorale, Confluence Chamber Orchestra, Early Music Missouri, St. Louis Irish Arts, and Town and Country Symphony Orchestra.
Each week, Festive Fridays will also include art-making opportunities in the Education Center; a cash bar with seasonal drinks in Sculpture Hall; and Seasonal Spotlight talks in the galleries, where SLAM curators will discuss different winter-themed artworks.
Winter Celebrations on Dec. 13-14 is a free, community-centered celebration of the season. Inspired by holiday traditions from around the world, the family-friendly festival features different activities each day, ranging from story time, art-making activities and inflatable games to song and dance performances. Weekend highlights include performances by Metro Theater Company and Hispanic Festival, Inc. No tickets or reservations are required to attend Winter Celebrations.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the museum’s annual Kwanzaa Celebration on Dec. 26 is one of the region’s largest. The free event will feature performances, art-making opportunities and workshops for all ages, a scavenger hunt, and lounge settings for teens and adults. It is presented in partnership with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Saint Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter.
