Ocean of Possibilities

OPEN CALL:

The Saint Louis Art Museum invites St. Louis area teens to submit up to three artworks exploring the theme “Ocean of Possibilities.”

  • How do you transform the impossible into the possible?
  • Who is part of your environment?
  • How do you connect water and nostalgia?
  • What materials do you use to represent the ocean?
  • How do you define possibility?

The exhibition will be on view beginning May 2025 in the Saint Louis Art Museum’s Student Gallery. The deadline to submit is Monday, February 3, 2025.

Submission Requirements:
  • • Artist is a St. Louis area teen ages 13–19.
    • Two-dimensional medium, digital videos not to exceed 5 minutes in length, or relief sculpture with a depth not to exceed 2 inches.
    • Maximum size of artwork: 16 x 20 inches.
    • Artworks must be able to be hung safely, not too delicate, and fully assembled (if applicable).
    • Eligible artworks will be juried by members of the Museum’s Teen Arts Council, and accepted works will be included in the exhibition.
