This April, the Saint Louis Art Museum is excited to offer an interactive stage performance inspired by the exhibition Age of Armor: Treasures from the Higgins Armory Collection at the Worcester Art Museum which will be on view at the Museum beginning February 18, 2023. The exhibition explores the history and development of plate armor in Europe and beyond.
Event Description: In the Farrell Auditorium, Swords and Roses, a group of trained performers, will lead an interactive stage performance that includes historical martial arts with performers dressed in period garments. Performers will also converse with students about swords and armor, related accessories, and historical facts.
When: Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 11:00am-12:00pm Central Time
Registration: Teachers may register up to 30 students and we request that you enroll a minimum of 10 students. Space is limited and on a first come, first served basis. Please note, the content has been designed with middle school learners in mind.

Please note Age of Armor: Treasures from the Higgins Armory Collection at the Worcester Art Museum is a ticketed exhibition. Tickets to the exhibition are not included, but school groups are eligible for discounted admission of $1 per student. Tours for ticketed exhibitions may be scheduled through the Group Visit and Tour Request Form.
During your visit, we recommend visiting the Arms and Armor galleries on Level 1 of the Museum, which does not require tickets and are available free of charge.
