[1] "Provient raisemblablement de Karnak," per undated, unsigned, handwritten document in French [SLAM document files], containing the full, detailed translation of the hieroglyphic inscriptions on this object. This letter was most likely written by Mr. Capart, the individual named in an inventory list sent by the dealer which includes a portion of the translation.

[2] Per list of objects sold to the museum by Feuardent Frères, listed "to be sent on September 1, 1924," as well as a certificate from the American Consulate General, Paris, France, dating August 28, 1924 [SLAM document files].
