NOTES
Peruvian weavers developed numerous techniques for creating an array of visual and tactile effects. The "Coca Bag" exemplifies the technique of warp-faced weave. The color pattern is planned as the warps are attached to the loom. The design then emerges as the wefts pass through the twisted warps.
