NOTES
Brushstrokes of intense greens, blues, and whites create rhythmic patterns across this canvas. Childe Hassam was considered a leader of the American Impressionist movement, based on sun-drenched scenes such as this one. He was frequently drawn to Spain for the distinctive quality of light he found there.
