Opening of Aso Oke: Prestige Cloth from Nigeria
Aso Oke: Prestige Cloth from Nigeria explores textiles created by Yoruba weavers in southwestern Nigeria that were fashioned into clothing for celebratory and ceremonial occasions from the early 19th to late 20th century.
Celebrate the opening of Aso Oke by raising a glass with the exhibition curators.
- Aso Oke opens at 10 am in the Carolyn C. and William A. McDonnell Gallery 100. No tickets are required to see the exhibition.
- Cocktails available for purchase from 5 pm to 7 pm in Sculpture Hall.
