Public preview—Roaring: Art, Fashion, and the Automobile in France, 1918–1939
Celebrate the opening of Roaring with free tickets to the exhibition, drinks from a cash bar, and live music evocative of Jazz Age France performed by Joe Park and the Hot Club of St. Louis and Janet Evra.

Help paint SLAM’s soapbox car, which will race in the St. Louis Jaycees Soap Box Derby on June 8.

Joe Park and the Hot Club of St. Louis will perform classics and original compositions.

Bassist and vocalist Janet Evra and her band will perform selections from her 2024 album Meet Me in Paris and other jazz standards.

About Joe Park and the Hot Club of St. Louis
Joe Park and the Hot Club of St. Louis performs many of the classics made famous by Django Reinhardt and the Quintet du Hot Club de France as well as Park’s own original compositions.

About Janet Evra
Janet Evra is an international jazz vocalist, bassist, and bandleader from England, now based in St. Louis. She’s had recent international appearances at the Brecon Jazz Festival in Wales, the Deva Jazz Festival in Romania, and the Linna Jazz Festival in Finland. Evra has collaborated with jazz superstars including Randy Brecker, Taylor Eigsti, Wycliffe Gordon, Andrea Motis, Jeff Coffin, Roy Wooten, Chad LB, Sara Gazarek, Mohini Dey, Bob Reynolds, Eric Marienthal, and Diego Figueiredo, as well as many St. Louis jazz legends. She was a 2019–2020 Artist in Residence at the Kranzberg Arts Foundation in St. Louis.
