The Kitchens of New Spain
Discover the role viceregal and convent cooking played in the evolution of Mexican cuisine with Maite Gomez-Rejón of ArtBites. Following the lecture, Maite will continue sharing bits of history while demonstrating how to make a traditional candy that weaves Old and New World ingredients, traditions, and techniques. The program is inspired by the exhibition Art and Imagination in Spanish America, 1500–1800.
