Toddler and Me—ADHD awareness immersive installation
Practice breathing and mindfulness with an artmaking activity. Kids can create a custom pin wheel, explore Martha Valenta‘s installation, Lost & Found Meditation, and meet the artist.
The artwork in Sculpture Hall will be open for exploration for families and children from 11 am–2 pm and for adults from 4–8 pm during SLAM Social.

About the artist
Martha Valenta is a multidisciplinary artist who infuses her work with a deep understanding of human-centered design. Based in St. Louis, Martha’s unique approach calls on her background in user experience design to bridge the gap between art and accessibility, creating a variety of artworks and experiences that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. She is passionate about social art, particularly in exploring themes of neurodiversity and self-acceptance, as demonstrated in her immersive art installations.
About the installation
Lost & Found Meditation is an immersive walking meditation labyrinth. The artwork morphs into a maze featuring a massive painted canvas floor mat with hyperfocus areas created in collaboration with individuals with cognitive disabilities from Pathways to Independence.
