Welcome
Thank you for your interest in visiting the Saint Louis Art Museum! The Museum has designed programs, gallery tours, and resources specifically for school groups. Guided experiences promote student-centered investigation, encourage creative and critical thinking, and inspire students to respond in a variety of ways. Resources developed for school groups also inspire cross-curricular connections with the Museum's encyclopedic collection, including artworks that reach across cultures and time periods. You are invited to select touring options that satisfy your educational and curricular goals. We look forward to welcoming you and your students to the Saint Louis Art Museum soon!
Guided School Tours
The Saint Louis Art Museum offers guided tours for school groups. We can accommodate groups up to 75 people at one time. Larger groups will be asked to split into different rotations. Please note that ticketed exhibitions have limited capacity. In the galleries students will encounter original works of art that complement and enhance classroom learning. Tours will feature question-based strategies to engage students in careful looking and active discussion, helping students develop their own interpretations and relate works of art to their lives. Admission to the Museum is free, including school tours for students, teachers, and chaperones. Tours for early childhood through university students encourage close looking, critical thinking, and discussion. These can be tailored to your curriculum and focus upon specific areas of our collection. Museum Educators are available for consultation to help customize your visit. Tours must be scheduled at least four weeks in advance.
Accessibility
We are committed to providing access for all visitors who are interested in learning and exploring the Museum. Learn more about accessibility or contact us today about a group tour. Tours must be scheduled at least four weeks in advance.

Group sizes greater than 15 are asked to split into smaller groups with one adult chaperone per group of children under 18. Tours must be scheduled at least four weeks in advance.
