Family Sundays
Uncover the stories of the Museum’s collection on Sunday afternoons with a gallery exploration and hands-on art activities. Each Family Sunday features a different theme and art project.

Family Resources
Travel through time and across the globe without ever leaving St. Louis! Take a self-guided, engaging tour of artworks in the Museum’s collection with a Family Gallery Guide or grow curiosity for art through drawing, writing, movement, and imagining using a Find Activity Card.

Wee Weekends
Learn, play, explore, and grow at the Museum’s program for our youngest visitors. Join us for an adventure as we discover new ways of interacting with art and each other. With time for play, storytelling, Museum walks, and art making, Wee Weekends takes place one Friday and one Saturday a month, and provides a fun and active way to explore the Museum together. Recommended for children 3 to 5 and their caregivers.
Free; registration is required.

Virtual Wee Wednesdays
Wee Wednesdays include reading a story, looking at art from the Museum’s collection, and creating an art activity with materials found in your home. Each on-demand session has its own theme. Teens
Teen Arts Council
Teen Arts Council (TAC) is a group of arts-minded teens who serve as ambassadors and advisors in designing and implementing programs by teens for teens. TAC members meet twice a month during the school year and receive behind-the-scenes Museum experiences, free arts-related workshops, and a creative and supportive arts community.

Young Artists Exhibition
The Young Artists Exhibition that is displayed in the Student Gallery is organized annually to encourage local teens to create art and to showcase their work to a broad audience.

Museum Assistants
The Museum Assistant program is an employment and mentoring opportunity for St. Louis area teens. Museum Assistants get real work experience while also learning important life skills such as cooperation, time management, and problem solving. As paid, part-time employees of the Saint Louis Art Museum, Museum Assistants work closely with staff members on a wide range of programs and events.

Art Quest

Kwanzaa Celebration
Enjoy a day of culture, performance, and tradition! The free, annual Kwanzaa Celebration is presented in partnership with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Saint Louis Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter each December and includes an art-making activity and self-guided tour in the galleries, as well as a performance in the Museum’s Farrell Auditorium.
